Trying to connect wii to sky glass

I'm trying to connect my wii to my sky glass. I have bought the hdmi convertor so that it fits the tv and plugged it into port 3 and changed it to older device connection in the settings and it still won't work. Nothing wrong with the wii or connector as I tried it on my mums TV and it worked fine. How do I fix this? Isvthe wii actually compatible with a sky glass?

@Anya1405 A lot depends on the HDMI adapter you have bought but try using HDMI 3 and go into the TV's settings and activate the HDMI compatability setting which is in Connected Devices/HDMI/ section. If tgst doesnt work sorry you are stuck.

Strictly speaking the original Wii isn't 'compatible' with any HDMI monitor: that's what the adaptor is trying to achieve.  Nintendo themselves never offered any such thing.

There's a comparison of different adaptors here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awuU_c-zOtQ
