Continued, I've tried reset process, pressed 7&9, 4&6 then 1&3 it tells me it's connected but the select button won't allow me to continue. I have replaced batteries and turned tv off at wall.

Thank you for you advice. I tried both solutions but neither worked which was annoying because the TV was unusable without the remote. I managed to find an old SkyQ remote which does work with the TV. Sky are sending me a replacement remote.

A few other things to try
The next option sounds insane but a number of users have reported it resolving the issue with their remotes. You could try holding the remote at both ends and giving it a gentle twist as though you were wringing out a towel. It
Take the batteries out the remote for 24 hours to ensure the power has completely drained before putting them back in.

If none of these options work you can request a replacement remote via this link: https://www.sky.com/help/forms/streaming-tv-remote
If you have an old Sky Q remote, you can use that as an interim solution whilst you await the new remote.
