Subtitles

I'm hard of hearing an need subtitles I set for subtitles to be on but when a break comes on no subtitles are shown have to rewind a couple of seconds and it comes back on but when I play my playlist it states subtitles but don't allways come on I can't put my volume up too much cos of neighbours

Hi @Jennyr39 .  If you are turning on subtitles through the remote (3 white dots button) this is just meant to activate subtitles for the programme you are currently watching and will reset every time you change channels or turn off the TV. 

 

If you want them on permanently for all programmes that support subtitles (not all do so) then you need to turn them on through the Settings > Accessibility menu.

In addition, if you are watching via the Channel 4 app there is a rather odd bug that if you can subtitles turned on for a show, and you fast forward through the ad breaks, it will turn the subtitles back off unless you allow the last second or 2 of the ad break to play.
