When you have switched in on/off I assume this is at the plug socket. After doing that it should take about a minute to reboot before the standby light comes on. Are you seeing the red standby light at the bottom middle of the TV set?
If not I would check the fuse in the plug and the breaker at the distribution board. If both of those are OK then I think you will need to phone Sky and tell them you have a dead Glass TV.
