Sky glass has lines down it with no damage happening

image.jpg

Hi,

ive had the sky glass from april this year, watched the TV this morning and absolutely fine, then ive just turned it on and it has these lines going down it. Ive tried a reboot to it which was suggested in another discussion but it hasnt worked.
whats confusing me more is no one has been at home today and therefore the tv has had no damage done to it.
Has anyone had this before? What caused it and how did you fix it?
staring to wonder if i made a mistake getting the glass 😳

Have you tried turning it off at the wall for a few minutes? This often clears some of the software glitches with Sky Glass, particularly the presence of large vertical lines through the image.

Hi @Amara93  I had something similar on a Glass TV about 2 years ago. A normal reboot didn't help so I left the TV unplugged overnight and the line disappeared and luckily it never came back.  Give it a try but if it doesn't resolve the issue or if it keeps coming back you should call Sky for additional troubleshooting and if necessary a replacement TV (assuming it is still within its 24 month warranty).

Hello yes ive turned it off by the wall for about 15 minutes, went and had a hissy fit doing the washing up aggressively 😂 and came back to plug it in.
ill try leaving it unplugged over night and if not contact sky tomorrow.

@Amara93 When I made my last post your photo hadn't been cleared by the moderators but now I can see the picture it is exactly what I had but mine was on the right side of the Glass TV.

As I mentioned earlier I left it unplugged overnight and the line had disappeared when I switched it on in the morning.  If that is not your experience cal Sky for additional troubleshooting.

If Sky is your mobile provider you can phone them by  dialling 150.

If it is not your provider follow this link https://www.sky.com/help/home and scroll down to need more help, click on this and you will see an 0333 phone number to use to call Sky. Unfortunately I cannot include the actual phone number as the forum filters will block it.

Good luck 🤞
