Sky glass/ethernet

Hi there, experiencing jitter, freeze and  loss of connection With sky glass, 2 days in from delivery..

broadband is super fast fibre so no issues there. 330mbps download , 61mbps upload

I'm attempting to run the Ethernet cable from router to the tv to improve things but keep getting an error,..

(If IP address allocation is disabled on your router, you'll need to enable this before continuing)

please help, I've looked into my hub Manger and cannot see anything related)

thanks

@Darrell2  Have you tried rebooting your router?

@Darrell2  Is this a sky provide router or another provider

@Darrell2  Sounds like an issue with the hub itself  see these steps https://community.bt.com/t5/Archive-Staging/DHCP-Address-Allocation/td-p/1829030

Re: Sky glass/ethernet

Everything seems fine with the hub, tried Ethernet in laptop etc, was also working with sky q, everything works..

maybe I give Bt a call unless someone knows the answer in relation to sky glass

 cheers

@Darrell2 You could try a network reset on the Glass TV settings menu - advanced tab.

@Darrell2  Then it really does sound like a hub issue not allocating the IP address, try the reset that I linked to in my earlier reply.

I'm running a Glass television off a BT Smart Hub 2 over ethernet quite happily: there's been no indication in this forum of any incompatibility between Glass and BT routers.
