Sky glass constantly disconnecting from internet and everything is always buffering

Around 4 days ago my sky glass to suddenly stopped working properly, no matter what you put on the tv it constantly acts as if it's buffering, start stop on everything you watch constantly to the point we're having to now give up with it and watch dvds because we don't know what else to do.. my broadband is fine, that's all been checked and there's nothing wrong with it, my sky puck is much is in another room has not got any issues at all and I everything you watch works perfectly it's just the sky glass main tv that's just suddenly started doing it, it's been nearly a week of This and we don't know what else to do as it's extremely annoying to deal with as we now catch watch anything on that tv.. It's always saying no internet connection then constantly comes goes to a blue screen and comes up with a technical fault error message but this has been going on days now.. it's not like it's cheap to watch either paying over £100 a month to now not be able to watch tv sky glass because there's clearly a issue with it? Any ideas to stop this and get it back working fine would be great.

Can you do a network speed test on your Sky glass TV.
Launch Netflix on your Glass TV  (you do not need to be logged into it, if you do not use netflix) and scroll down the left menu to Get help.

Choose Check Network.
Would suggest running the test a handful of times, over a period of an hour.
What is your speed?

Are you using wifi or an ethernet connection?


Also, try doing a settings restart and see if that helps;

On your Glass TV, go to Settings>Systems Management>Resets & Updates
Select Restart device
Your Sky Glass TV will perform a reboot. It will take a few minutes to complete

Also worth connecting via an ethernet cable if it isn't already. It does give a more stable connection than WiFi. (If you use ethernet make sure WiFi is turned off in the settings).

I will dory the Netflix speed test, using WiFi, always have since having sky glass and it's been almost a year now since having sky glass tv and now suddenly it's doing what it's doing, now sky puck in the other room has started doing it. 

I done the reset last night and it's still continuing to be the same no change of anything it made it worse to deal with

I unfortunately can't do that because the front room is an extremely long distance away from where my only broadband location is, as now it's my room with the sky puck doing it aswel so it has to be something to do with sky because it's now solely live tv, sky cinema etc anything to do with my packages with is doing it. The apps etc are all working fine other than Netflix which included with my sky package

Have you met bed your router at all ?

 

if not try rebooting your router and rebooting the devices by pulling the power cables 

 

if the distances are too long try powerline home plug adapters they are relatively inexpensive and can connect your devices to your router via your electrical cables

done all of that and still have a continual problem with programmes not loading

@Hugh26 It may be that you're having the same issue that others, myself included, have had in the past few days.

 

It appears that the solution is to ring Sky Technical and go through a hard reset process over the phone with them. It is pretty easy to do but it's advised to do it with Sky in case of problems.

 

You won't lose your Playlist or Continue Watching selections but your other TV settings will be reset, so if you connect via ethernet remember to turn off the WiFi in settings.

 

I went through this process on Wednesday and have not had any issues since. I only phoned Sky because the usual reset process hadn't worked. 

 

The more people that speak to Sky directly the better as they will know there is a problem that needs addressing via an update.
