I live in a flat on the first floor. I've just ordered sky glass. Can Sky still update my broadband to cater for sky glass if I live in a flat?

Depends on where you live, the type of building you are in, who the landlord is, the type of broadband infrastructure available in your neuthbourhood etc...
You need to have fast and stable broadband in place before even considering Sky Glass as it's pretty useless without it.

If it's in the UK, putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which broadband provisioning type is applicable.
https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome
It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.
Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.

OK, so FTTP isn't available, good FTTC is, and Ultrafast 1 over G.fast might be (if Sky is still reselling that)
Is there currently an Openreach phone socket within the property?

Who is your current ISP?
What BB service do you currently have?

My current wifi is with sky and I have normal tv subscription. There is a dish attached to the flat. I don't know if the sky internet is open reach

What broadband speed do you currently receive? When you say 'normal' TV subscription, is that Sky+ or Sky Q?
When you ordered the Glass TV did Sky not ask you what your broadband speed was?

No they just said that an engineer will come out and upgrade your connection but since then I've read that no all can have it. This is the current reading

Will the Glass TV be located near the BB router?

Your Hub shows the expected speed is being received: Sky cannot currently 'update'/'upgrade' that any further* whether or not you use a Glass television set. They don't offer in-premises support for Glass anyway.
*unless, as I said above, G.fast is still being resold

Yes it will be

You should be fine with that broadband speed so don't worry about it.
Just be aware that your existing Sky TV service will terminate as soon as you activate the Glass TV and the streaming TV subscription you have with it.
If it is Sky Q that you currently have then Sky will require you to return the Q box but you don't need to do that until after you're happy that Glass will work for you. It's a very different type of service so doesn't suit everyone, but after your 31 day cooling off period has elapsed you will be sent returns packaging for the Q equipment.
If you don't like Glass or miss the channels it doesn't have, or miss the ability to record and fast forward easily then you can return it within 31 days and revert back to Sky Q if you wish.

If you are logged into the Sky website, does a 150Mbs broadband service appear to be available?

Hi,
The Sky Glass TV is arriving 7 days before an engineer is due to come out to do the upgrade from my current Sky Broadband Superfast at 73.2 mb/s. Does that mean that the sky glass will be inactive until the engineer has been or that my current setup will cater for the sky glass?
Thanks for all the replies so far
