Standard delivery of the Gen 2 Sky Glass does not include unboxing or assembly.

I believe this is a £45 optional extra which has to be ordered alongside the set.

References online to free unboxing, assembly and packaging removal would be for the Gen 1 and are now out of date.

Sky Glass 55" (on ethernet) & two Stream Pucks (one ethernet / one WiFi)
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

Re: Sky Glass

Only if you upgrade to premium delivery.

You could try asking nicely if you're on your own! It is definitely a two person job though due to the weight but the Gen 2 stand simply slides into the bottom of the TV, no screwing required, so a neighbour might be able to help.

Re: Sky Glass

Hi it states in my order details that it is to be unboxed  and assembled by the delivery menu plus the will also take away my old TV so I'm a little confused reading some of the comments on here as to whether the will just put the stand on as I was led to believe it was all part of the service

Re: Sky Glass

Thanks for getting in touch and I appreciate your help as I was thinking the same that hopefully as I'm on my own and not good at DIY so yes I will ask and hopefully as there will be two delivery men it shouldn't be a problem for them thanks again

I suspect the issue could be the time pressure which couriers are typically under: lifting the set onto the stand should be quick enough as unlike the Gen 1 this  no longer needs building, but the set has to be unboxed first and that's not something to rush.
