Re: Sky Glass with no sky package

I didn't know that, but then again I have never not payed my bill or cancelled so I can't really comment on that one, usually if the Internet drops out you can't access the Sky home screen at all until the connection is re-established, but not sure about if you have no subscriptions active, I do know that the apps work without a subscription, but didn't know about the Home screen set up, obviously you won't be able access the actual live channels or "apps" that require the Sky subscription to be active, but I know you can access apps such as BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Disney Plus, etc, I guess Netflix would work too if you have a separate account that is not linked to your Sky account, but I'm not 100% sure on that one

Re: Sky Glass with no sky package

That was what I thought they might have to do, but it would probably cause more issues

I suspect the issue is due to the streaming platform being a "closed" platform like Virgin Media rather than being open like the satellite platform is.

I'd certainly expect the Comcast overloads to start asking questions if customers were allowed to benefit from streams being provided via the platform but not actually contribute to the cost of running it.
