Sky Glass speaker fascia price drop

Hello 

Well there I was browsing Amazon for a tattoo cream and my wishlist flagged up the 43" Sky Glass Black Onyx speaker fascia has price dropped by 30% 👀

I got an email from Sky about this yesterday.

For some unknown reason they still seem to think I have a Glass TV - I never have and never will - but even with a 30% discount these speaker fascias are still ridiculous for what they are. A piece of cheap fabric and some magnets.

Also, the text on the email is another example of peak marketing flim flam. What utter, utter nonsense...

That is a crazy price for what it is should just come with the TV.

I've never really understood if these stick on to the tv speaker grille or do you remove the tv speaker grille and put these in their place ?

@Jporch316 they stick to the existing  speaker grille  by magnets the black one cannot be removed

These things are dreadful, we had the Racing Green cover and it looked a sort of green/black.  nothing like the TV surround.  It went back and we were credited about 2 weeks after taking delivery.  When the TV went back last week, they still seemed to think we had one to return!

Probably beause nobody is interested in them. Hence the price reduction. 

A TV is a TV. It's a black rectangle that you fill with images. Nothing more. 

It's not a style statement or whatever the heck Sky think it is. It's a poorly thought through gimmick, designed to fleece more money out of customers.
