Sky Glass on wifi

I am thinking of getting Sky Glass, as I do not want a dish on my house.

I understand that it works via wi fi, but would it be fast enough on my 52 mbps download speed or would Ineed to connect an ethernet cable??

Hi @Hobbayne64

Sky Glass and Stream require 25Mbps for HD and 30Mbps for UHD. Your download speed doesn't leave a lot of headroom and while should work of WiFi you will likely have a better experience over ethernet. Stability of the connection is a key factor with Sky over IP.

I ran it over Ethernet (powerline adapters) to begin  with then swapped to WiFi on 33mb. All worked fine.

Hi @Hobbayne64  In addition to the other excellent posts I would just like to mention that Glass is 2021 technology at 2024 prices and it was only mediocre when it first came out.  If you already have a decent smart TV I would consider a Stream puck.  Last December I sold my Glass and moved to a Samsung TV and soundbar along with a stream puck and have never regretted this decision.
