@LilMo1290 I love the streaming platform in general but I traded in my Glass TV a year ago and moved to an OLED Smart TV with soundbar and Sky Stream puck. I find I now have a much better viewing experience.

Originally I moved to the streaming platform as I moved home and lost access to a satellite dish.  I now have access to a dish again but have remained on the streaming platform.  I prefer the convenience of streaming rather than having to wait for programmes to be broadcast so I can record them.  Streaming is not perfect but neither was Sky Q.

Hi @LilMo1290

Good to hear. I've had far less issues with it and 4 pucks in the last nearly three years ive had it than I did with many years of Q. There are a few quirks which take getting used to and the product has come on leaps and bounds with new functions and improvements with each software release.

The main thing is fast and stable broadband which is where a lot of people fall down. The other thing with the community is that generally we only see the people who have issues, not the many who have the product and have no cause to visit the community so it's good to see a positive post every now and then!

Re: Sky Glass is brilliant

Love ours - in bed watching the last couple of episodes of Ludwig on our 43" dusky pink. No, the sound doesn't compare with our AV separates downstairs, but the sound for a built-in sound system is terrific. Dialogue is full & clear, picture looks fine (SDR for Ludwig).

Mrs loves it; no having to deal with multiple remotes and she also finds the search/p,aylist across all of our subscribed services to be much better than jumping in and out of apps trying to find her shows & films. Our 18 month introductory offer for Sky Ent & Netflix plus Sky Cinema recently ended. She was entirely happy going for the same package on a 24 month commitment.

I won't disagree that the same money will buy a better picture with a Stream puck. Likewise the sound can be bettered by some midrange soundbars. The appeal & simplicity of the all in one design with Sky inside shouldn't be overlooked though, just ask my wife.

Sky Glass & Stream Puck customer w/Sky Entertainments & Netflix, Sky Cinema, Whole Home & UHD/Dolby Atmos add-on.

Still rocking my 55 and still glad the ugly dish has gone and I no longer need a separate soundbar 😃

I don't miss my Samsung tellys or the Sony one.

The Sony one had a beautifully crisp picture but it had an annoying feature where it would tell you which port it was running on in top of the screen all the time.

Puck was very slow I found

Re: Sky Glass is brilliant

I loved my 65 inch glass. Before mine developed a serious fault outside of warranty I never had any issues with it and it just continued to get better and better.

it was the way customer services handled things afterwards is what turned me away from Sky. Still waiting for 2 promised callbacks now from last week.
