Sky Glass - intermittent WiFi issues

We had had our sky glass for nearly 3 years, and in last 4 months we have seen it intermittently loses WiFi - sometimes this can be reset in the glass menu, sometimes the tv needs to be turned off at the plug. On each occasional all other devices on WiFi are working without issues.

Any ideas how to solve?

Re: Sky Glass - intermittent WiFi issues

  • Sounds to me, more like an issue with your Wi-fi than Sky Glass, make sure your Router is up to date with its software and has been restarted recently

Re: Sky Glass - intermittent WiFi issues

Thanks Nigel - can you provide more detail as to why it's a router issue - as I said in my original post no other issues with connected devices.

As part of the regular resetting of sky glass connection the router is restarted, it's a sky router that was replaced by sky this year.

Can you do a network speed test on your Sky Glass TV
Launch Netflix on your pucks (you do not need to be logged into it, if you do not use netflix) and scroll down the left menu to Get help.
Choose Check Network.
Would suggest running the test a few times, say over a half hour period.
