Do you have to recess the power supply if you are not going to have the tv flat against the wall. I already have a power supply and it's not really possible to recess it without a lot of work. We don't watch the tv with it flat so can we leave the socket as it is? TIA

I'm afraid I can't advise on whether that's viable: presumably one concern would be potential damage to the rear of the set (and consequently the internal components) if it was ever inadvertently pushed completely flush.

If you are referring to the 'Warnings and cautions' section of the wall mounting guide, then that's essentially up to you: Sky denies liability either way.

Ok thanks, as long as it is physically possible to mount it without it being recessed that's fine.

And I suppose one might also worry about a protruding plug being a lever point which could theoretically pull against the wall bolts.

Re: Sky Glass gen 2 wall mount recess power supply
Hi, I have just taken delivery of sly glass gen 2 and planning to wall mount it with official sky bracket. I have the same question about plug socket. Mine is not recessed either. Did you manage to mount it without issues and leave it slightly off the wall? Thanks.

Hi,
unfortunately it's still on its stand. 😔 I have the added complexity of cob walls so need to find someone that can fit it!! I'll let you know if I do or vice versa. 😊
