Sky Glass - Worst mistake I ever made
I know this is not a question but this is the worst. Continue watching does not remember where I was. Constantly told there are technical faults. I can pause live tv but then to fast forward is so scetchy I have given up. Skip ads comes up when there are no ads and then when there are ads it puts you to the last ad. Why oh why did I let sky talk me into this!!!

Re: Sky Glass - Worst mistake I ever made
Continue watching is probably the most flakiest part of Sky OS and can be frustrating but it is far better than it was 2 years ago 🙄.
The issue is it is being too clever pulling together content and so when watching from CW it can be
1. New episode just landed but is still being broadcast live it is actually watch from start but a link from the CW rail.
2. The program is finished and available to stream this can be from Sky servers especially Sky content and this probably works the best.
3. The program is only available via a third party app like iplayer, itvx, etc. This I personally prefer but heh.
But then you have the issues where broadcasters do not update content linked back to Sky to keep the CW rail up to date example Apple is generally 24 hours behind, Netflix sits in CW but doesn't truly track your viewing until you go into Netflix app,, Disney doesn't link to CW only the playlist, Prime is hit n miss with sometimes chunks of a series missing so you get episodes 1 2 3 no 4 5 but then 6, bonkers.
The only Continue Watching I've used that functions pretty accurately is Apple TV as it gathers content from most apps but not Netflix this has its own rail 🙄.
Sky are relying on third party operators ITV C4 etc, to keep the data flowing and keep everything up to date this is often why it can be difficult to track where you left off in a series plus Sky OS has issues doing this on occasion so it can be frustrating but is far far better than it was and so hopefully as streaming moves forward will improve further.
As for ADS I hate AD Skipping, it works but can't understand why it cannot just be AD free, some content streams free of ADS. So the technology appears to handle it but the will or agreements with advertisers may be the reasoning. sky's own Now service has AD free and it works perfectly so why not in Glass and stream 🤷♂️
FF again is all dependent on where you are when watching as you could be FF from Sky servers or within apps so there are many variations of FF methods and speeds it is just getting used to what does what.
Technical issues generally happen if you are watching via a weak WiFi signal. Hard wiring may be your solution via Ethernet.

Re: Sky Glass - Worst mistake I ever made
@William126 congrats. You've certainly dodged a bullet.
@Ze4 if you're within the first 30 days you can return it and cancel your contract. Sky will charge you a small return fee, but that's preferable to being stuck in an expensive commitment that you hate.

I don't get any problems like this with any other streaming services. It's just glass

That's because SkyOS is almost entirely server based.
Most other streaming devices run their OS from the device itself, not from a server. Other devices also store apps on the device. On Sky Glass & Stream, the apps are on a server. All this adds latency to Sky's service which is why, unlike other streaming devices, it requires a constant fast & stable connection to Sky's servers.
