You can get one of last year's LG OLED models in 55" for around £700 at the moment. That's a proper bargain if picture quality is important.

My old TV was a 2019 LG OLED 55" and was way superior in picture quality than my 55" Glass. The sound was naff compared to Glass though. A new OLED with a basic soundbar will still be cheaper than Glass.
