Sky Glass - Bloody Useless - Sky Customer Services - Even worse
On the 4th October, I phoned sky to reduce our monthly outgoings (sky broadband, Talk, Sky Q) which was costing us £157 a month. I have been with Sky for 21 YEARS and am a Diamond VIP customer.
It was suggested thhat rather than chopping off Sky Sports, I take out a Sky Glass which reduced the cost to £99, so I (stupidly) agreed.
The sky glass and puck was delived by AIT Delivery on the 11th October. It was then we realised that we could not record anything on Sky Glass and could not recover our recorded content off of the Sky Q box.
On the 14th I phoned Sky again to cancel the sky glass and reinstate our SkyQ, only to be told that the Sky Glass had not been delivered by AIT Delivery, which it had because I was looking at it.
That was when the problems started.
It appears that Sky cannot cancel my Sky Glass and reinstate SkyQ as the sky glass is showing on their system as undelivered. I have been on the phone for 9 hours now and have spoken to at least 15 different people, and they still cannot sort it.
It appears that their 'back office technical experts' do not have the ability to cancel our Sky Glass and reinstate Sky Q, even though the form has been approved over a week ago (and then mysteriously 'rejected'!) and restarted again on the 30th October. It is now going to take between 7-14 days (its already been going since the 14th OCTOBER) before the 'baclk office' can get their bloody fingers out and sort it out.
I cant even cancel my subscription as their 'system' wont allow it as it is showing 'pre-active'!!
I have been in computers since the early 1980's in Management and user support and if I had taken this long I would have been sacked on the spot.
SKY - IF YOU READ THIS PLEASE GET THIS SORTED. MY NEXT PORT OF CALL IS BBC WATCHDOG.

You are not talking to sky on here we are all fellow customers on here, so sky will not see your post if the sky glass is working then it will be on your account has you have activated it. Also you will have two bills to pay on your next payment your last sky q bill and your first sky stream bill

Re: Sky Glass - Bloody Useless - Sky Customer Services - Even worse
I have finally got Sky to accept that the sky Glass has been delivered and they have now cancelled it and restarted my SkyQ subscription.
After almost a month of phone calls and sod all response from them I most certainly WILL NOT be paying two bills as I have had no sky TV service on anything from the 14th of October until 7pm yesterday (November 5th)
If they do try to bill me twice it'll be an email to BBC watchdog and a full cancellation from a customer who has been with Sky for 21 years.
It would be different if it was something I had done but this farce has been entirely down to their internal issues.

Incidentally, the Sky Glass was NEVER activated as it was constantly showing up as undelivered. I even phoned the courier company and gave them a bollocking as Sky told me that 'it was the courier company that have pressed the wrong button', but the courier company checked and Sky were notified that the TV and puck had been delivered on the day it was delivered to me.
