How can you remove Sky Glass from your account? I won the TV in a competition and had sky stream for free. We are keeping the sky stream service. We just don't want the TV as we prefer our Samsung tv.
we have already asked Sky and they said when the tv is switched on at someone else's it will detect that it's not our Sky account. The agent didn't seem that sure and I keep on reading different answers to this question. I have also read not to factory reset the tv or it will get bricked.
The bitton line is I don't want the tv any more. We have tried the terrestrial channels and I don't think that option is good enough to give the tv to my Mom & Dad, as they don't have Sky and won't pay for a subscription either.
help please! The tv to me is just an overpriced paperweight lol.
thanks.

As @SKY1992bf says you need to factory reset the TV. Then whoever you sell it too needs to get a subscription or add it to an existing subscription as per the article from sky here:

Find out more@Abbafan1972 Regardless of whether you sell the tv or send it to the dump, you should factory reset the tv before doing anything else to remove your details, any buyer will have to contact sky to register the tv to their account and Sky will be able to reverse any bricking that may occur

Thanks for all the replies. I have factory reset it after taking photos. All seems ok and is asking for set up. So whoever has the tv will be able to set it up.
We have tried it not connected to Broadband and plugged aerial in to get free view channels and am less than impressed to be honest. You don't get the full list of channels and the picture quality is shocking.
My first step is to try selling it on EBay.

That's because Sky Glass TVs do not support Freeview... They are just DTT receivers😉

I recently bought a 55 inch glass on the used market and was able to get a bargain!
on the plus side it was a simple process to add to my existing account and activate

Channel availability and reception quality will be down to the provided by the local DTTV transmission: here that's only the PSB channels and badly over-amped because the mast is actually visible.

@Jporch316 Anything I do get for it will be a bonus, as I never paid anything for it anyway.
thank you for all the replies.
