These ribbons are rubbish. Again I have selected the Great British Bake Off and it starts to play the previous week’s episode! It does this with just about every programme I select via this method. If I think about it before hand, it is better to go to the channel and select the programme from there.
surely the whole point of having the ribbon is that the programme listed is the very latest!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI'm guessing this is the continue watching ribbon you are talking about. I can certainly say I don't experience that at all. I've got some minor frustrations ( mainly it sometimes not realising ykou finished watching a particular episode) with it but nothing as bad as you are describing.
im guessing you have tried the good old fashioned turn it off at the plug, wait 30 seconds and turn it back on again to see if it resolves the problem.

Actually didn't think I needed to keep re-booting to keep it up to date.
that's probably why I keep seeing all the series that I have watched still appearing.

they don't seem to disappear from the continue watching rubber, which is annoying if you watch an episode of the show and decide you don't want to watch the other episodes.

It would appear that people would like the ability to edit the ribbons to remove all the crap, past watchings and stuff that we have tried and decided that we don't want to watch.
How do we propose this to the people who control this?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Philip1009 I couldn't agree more the continue watching rails is the source of most of my frustration with the streaming platform. It can't be that difficult as both Netflix and Apple TV have very simple ways of removing unwanted items.
If you go to the top of this page and type Continue Watching into the search bar you will see loads of threads on the subject. About a year or so ago I made myself a list as an aide memoir of how to remove (or at least attempt to remove) unwanted items. It is certainly not straight forward as some need to be done on a laptop and some on my glass TV.
There is another problem that arose a couple of months ago which could be the cause of your issue. This is when fully watched programmes re-appear in the CW rail, sometimes with and sometimes without the progress bar. I have found that pressing the home button multiple times will occasionally correct the rail.
I will include a cut and past of my list below in the hope that it is useful to you. It will not resolve everything but does at least help me a little and has reduced my frustrations a little 😀
The most common method which generally works with Sky, Discovery, ITVX and Disney is to select the programme from the CW rail and fast forward it to the end. If it is a series then also run the last episode of the series to the end otherwise the next episode will appear in the CW rail.
Depending on the App you watched from there are so many different ways to remove programmes from CW. Some you have to do on your TV and others on your Laptop etc.
Do on Glass TV:
Apple TV - select from Up Next list with a LONG press / remove
Netflix - Select from CW / remove from CW on next page
Sky, Discovery, ITVX & Disney - run programme to credits and allow to run to the end. If a series do the same with the final episode of the series. (It may take a while to disappear)
My5 - Go to settings and select Clear Watch History
Do on laptop:
BBC iPlayer - CW / Manage full list (on right of screen) / remove
Ch4 / CW - go to My4 > / edit / select then remove
Paramount - CW / edit (right of screen) / delete
Sometimes it can take a while for the programme to disappear and on other occasions they stubbornly remain. It's a bit of a lottery.
Good luck, I hope this helps.
