I am thinking of buying the sky glass gen 2 but want to recycle my old sky glass v 1 how would I do that

However you would with any other TV, sell it, donate it or take it to a local household recycling centre.
Just ensure you factory reset it: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/buying-sky-glass-second-hand
Sky do not offer any kind of trade in or buy back scheme, and you will need to continue to pay for your gen 1 set if on fiance.

Or you can pay the delivery company to recycle your old Glass TV by upgrading the delivery option on your Glass 2 TV
You could also list your old TV for sale and ask the buyer to collect it.
Either way, make sure you do a factory reset of the TV and be aware that if you have an outstanding amount on your CCA that you will continue paying this alongside the CCA for your new Glass (if applicable).
