My Glass gen 2 updated over night but weirdly not to QS036, but from QS034.030.00 to QS034.030.02P. Not sure what it fixes but seems a bit pointless if QS036 is rolling out doesn't it?

My gen 2 had that update before the qs036 update. I imagine it was a minor tweak or fix . All updates are sent out in batches so you should get qs036 in the next few weeks .....

I take it all back! My complaints with the sound on my gen 2 appear to have all gone since this latest update. Couldn't quite put my finger on it but some of the dialogue and background sounds, crowd noise, softer voices, voice over narration was getting lost and didn't quite sound normal and definitely to me not as good as gen 1. Now it's right on point! Very happy.

Are you on 36, or the 2p update above? I have noticed issues with some female voices sometimes being really 'tinny' - but sometimes think its channel/app specific. 

Still on 34, hopefully soon, wonder what else it will come with 🙂

On the 36.012 Exactly the same as you with female voices sounding tinny. Hold on for the update, it fixes the issue.

Will the gen 1 and gen 2 be getting the same updates going forward? Could get interesting for the devs having to support two different hardware revisions concurrently.

I suspect they'll be relatively aligned but they're different hardware so will have different requirements so I think sometimes they'll align, sometimes they won't. This is conjecture though.
