Misunderstood!

Probably my fault as I wasnt down in the detail when ordering (and it explains why the deal was so cheap) but just ordered what I thought was a Gen2 Glass with streaming service but a Glass Air was delivered yesterday - a bit gutted tbh as I feel I was misled. The salesperson never mentioned it was going to be a Glass Air. I probably then made an assumption it would be the Gen 2. Is it worth cancelling and maybe paying the extra for the gen 2 which would be annoying? Its for a tv room and man use will be sport / movies.

@GraemeMit You have a 31 day cooling off period so you could consider cancelling within that time period and re-ordering the TV you actually want.

TBH I had a Gen 1 Glass TV which I sold 2 years ago and then took advantage of the Black Friday deals (end of November) and purchased a Samsung OLED TV with soundbar.  This coupled with a stream puck has been outstanding but it was a little more expensive.

Do you specifically want the speaker array and value the design aesthetic of Glass enough to justify the significant difference in purchase price?

Re: Misunderstood!

You're probably right! I do feel that Sky misled me when ordering but suspect nothing I can do now - and the tv was no extra cost in the deal vs stream - now I know why...

Never trust a salesperson. From any company.

Do your own independent research and order exactly what you want, not what someone says you need.

Re: Misunderstood!

Calls can be listened to and if you are pretty sure of what you were sold please call back. I was misold a package and I made notes during the call, clarifying the offer with the sales agent numerous times and he confirmed it all. When it was set up it was one of those offers that sounded to good to be true-completely misold but I raised a complaint and this was upheld as the call was listened to and confirmed everything I had said!

Re: Misunderstood!

As @Loukelly says if you are sure you requested a Gen2 then ask for the call to be listened too. When I received my equipment a puck was missing Sky were adamant I didn't order and if I wanted one it would be £39.95. After a couple of days they called me back to confirm I had requested one with wholehome and it was sent immediately free.

Or if you really want a Gen2 cancel in your cool off period and reorder, bit of a pain but you get what you want.

Re: Misunderstood!

The main tv we watch will be a samsung with soundbar with puck - i cant get a satellite where i am so had to go down the stream option - the offer with the glass was cheaper than without so I opted for that.
