Latency on sky glass

When are Sky going to do something about the latency on sky glass?I am an avid football,rugby both codes,and horse racing fan.The latency with glass is around 30 seconds which is worse than sky q.I just wish they would have explained to us before purchasing.I know they they say it's faster on on sky main channel but unfortunately my sports never seem to be on sky main channel.When are they going to make all sky sports faster laten

Hi @Blueboy07

This is the way streaming works compared to traditional broadcast methods. There is live sync mode which reduces the latency a bit, but you will never get it the same as an aerial or satellite signal.

Also the technogy to bring the latency down on streaming is more expensive is to run, which is likely the main reason it's only available on Sky Sports Main Event. I guess the logic behind this would be as Main Event typically shows the “current big sporting event” then the majority of the bigger live events will be available via the low latency channel.

@82bit

Until they get that long-standing speed-of-sound-through-air glitch fixed, even the crowd on the other side of the Thames isn't quite in sync with the bells either.  Come on physics, sort it out, etc.
