Re: Last few days, technical fault with channel, disney plus etc works.

Third morning Glass has started OK. A different test last night. I signed into AmazonPrime, watched a program, and before going to bed I signed out of Amazon and did a Restart Device. Switched on this morning and the channels worked immediatedly and they did not time out to a black screen. Fairly confident now that Amazon Prime is the culprit - or at least the problem exists between Sky and Amazon. Build and UI versions have not changed.

Re: Sky glass

@Nic2910 Did you sign into Amazon and use it before going into standby for the night? If not, you might still have the issue. The build and UI versions on my Gen 1 have not been updated

Re: Sky glass

Sorry to potentially bring bad news but I've done that twice. Both times the problem came back the next day.

Re: Last few days, technical fault with channel, disney plus etc works.

I signed out of Prime Video 4 days ago and did a soft restart - no problems at all since then. Programmes load first time every morning. I'm not signing back into Prime until (if) they fix it.

Hi @MarkP65

it seems like you need to sign out of prime fully on glass and stay signed out

@Jporch316 @MarkP65 Yes, that is the case - I signed out of Prime TV and stayed signed out - no problems at all since then

Re: Sky glass

Used Amazon prime after restarting and it all seems to be working ok.

probably had the tv on a couple of times from standby  and no loading errors so far.

Re: Last few days, technical fault with channel, disney plus etc works.

There is one way we can check if Prime Video is to blame. Those of you that haven't had the issue - have you used/signed into Prime? If not, could you do so and see if you start getting the problem? Might sound a daft idea to create problems on purpose but if you start getting the problem after using Prime it's further proof that it is Prime to blame.

Re: Sky glass

@Nic2910 Just to be clear, the issue does occur (in my experience) after using Prime and going on Standby and then starting Glass on the same day. It has occurred for me when the TV has been on Standby overnight and does not start the next morning (from 6am onwards). Have you tried using Prime, going on Standby overnight and then switching on at breakfast time?

Re: Sky glass

For my part, as long as I log into Prime first, I can then stream any other channel without issue.

Sorry, @Nic2910 this should have said: Just to be clear, the issue does NOT occur (in my experience) after using Prime and going on Standby and then starting Glass on the same day. Re: Sky glass playlist - tv shows section not loading

I think there must be a firmware issue with my Sky Glass TV as with many others I have read about on these forums. I have tried every suggestion posted plus installed new upgraded ethernet cables. I am on a stable, superfast broadband connection which I have rebooted several times to no effect. Being totally exasperated I did a factory reset instead of my daily, softer resets, still no good. In addition to failing to load programmes the screen also goes blank after about 5 minutes requiring yet another reset to watch live TV if I'm lucky. Only the Apps work normally. I have a second older TV which works faultlessly off a SKY puck so a further indication of a faulty Glass TV. I've had Sky Glass for almost 3 years and I like it when it works but my patience is almost over and I've started looking for another provider. If anybody is reading this from SKY, please get it sorted.

Re: Last few days, technical fault with channel, disney plus etc works.

OP here.

I havent logged into Amazon Prime for the last few days and have had no issues....whether that is with HDMI devices or 'programme waiting to load'

the downside is I use Prime quite a lot and I've had 6 full weeks of unreliable service, had my tv replaced (lost my beautiful green now stuck with the only colour in stock DUSKY PINK)

Re: Last few days, technical fault with channel, disney plus etc works.

@wsimm Yes, like you, I use Prime daily. At present, I'm accessing it via a Google TV plugged in via HDMI. Others are using a firestick. I appreciate that this is not an acceptable solution - Sky need to fix it.
