I'm fully aware of the app and ratings based pin lock settings, but I can not work out how to pin lock turning the tv on. LG, Samsung etc, all give you the ability to pin lock at power on point. My kids would watch teletex over doing their homework and as small an issue as this might appear, it's a major problem for us. Any help much appreciated.

Where do LG give you the option to lock so you can't turn on the TV? I have 2 LG tvs and don't see that option @NoiamSpartacus

There's no such option on Glass. You'd need to switch off the Voice Control on the set itself, and then hide the remote control.

I'm certain it does on LG, but sadly my sons friend put the Switch remote through ours, so I can't give you instructions. Sorry. 😔

Did you find a way? If one of my boys is watching something and the other doesn't want to watch it then he's learned he can turn the TV off on the actual TV.. And unfortunately I can't put my TV on the wall.. So if you found a way please share.. Desperate mummy here..
