Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@AmyJayne7 In that case the adviser is incorrect, your mother would needed to have signed you up using their referral link, I'm not aware of any adviser being able to do this on another customers behalf.
So I very much doubt you will ever get said link.
And as you've already signed up through Sky It wouldn't work either.

Have you recommended someone and have they subscribed and completed their credit checks?

He asked me if I knew anybody and I said yes my mum has sky already and he said great well you can refer that way but didn't actually tell me how to do so.. obviously it was part of my package deal having these X2 vouchers at £75 each.

Recommendation rewards require successful new customer addition🤔

The refer and friend scheme only works for new customers, so you need to refer a brand new customer to Sky.

... and the friend needs to successfully complete the order and not cancel during their cooling off period😉

But did she refer you? Yes, No? If no it doesn't apply, you can't refer her either as she is already a Sky customer.

Did your mother recommend you following the recommendation procedure?
12 Aug 2024 06:26 PM
I don't think either of you are understanding what I mean.
I rang up as a new customer.
He told me if I know somebody on sky then we would both get £75 voucher each. I said yes, my mum is with sky.
He said great and explained I would be sent a link for the vouchers. I confirmed this was all included in my package and he confirmed yes.
But he never told me for my mum's name etc to do the referral for me. He did the deal over the phone and but confirmed we would both would get the £75 voucher each as I already knew somebody from sky (but never told me to do anything in particular..orbasked for details).
Also my email says underneath in the small print that vouchers can only be used when contracts are done online - not over the phone.
So he's not given me any details about doing the referral first before me purchasing my contract with them. He hasn't asked for details of my referer.
He clarified these vouchers without giving a real process - he said I would get a link by email - which I have but it's for the wrong amount and it's only for 1 voucher and it's also not allowing me to use it as it just tells me to complete my purchase and buy another contract which was fine with him in the phone..

Yep, exactly.
I'll get onto them cause it's false advertment and it's also the only reason I decided to go through Sky!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@AmyJayne7 Sky are not falsely advertsing the refer a friend, you've been misinformed by an advser, a different thing entirely.
This is the link to the refer a friend page, it is very clear on what a customer needs to do https://www.sky.com/help/articles/introduce-a-friend
