@Alibobs That certainly used to be the case but following a software update some time ago compatible hearing aids will work with Sky Glass. They need to be A2DP compliant.

Re: Hearing aid connection
@Alibobs You can only connect hearing aids to Glass via bluetooth and as mentioned they must be A2DP compliant.
Good luck

Re: Hearing aid connection
Not all hearing aids will connect to Glass so might be worth buying a hraing loop that connects to Bluetooth and will then link directly to hearing aids using the T Switch. We have a room loop system supplied via British Institute for the Deaf. It is not Bluetooth so purchased a Bluetooth receiver/transmitter (cost from £7 via Amazon) which received the Bluetooth sound from the Sky Glass set and will feed this into the loop control box, so again, you can listen via the T switch on the hearing aids.w

Re: Hearing aid connection
My hearing aids have Bluetooth. I've been ok with them but since I changed to Sky I can't get to direct to them

Re: Hearing aid connection
My wife has Phonak Sphere aids, and the Sky Glass is not seeing them advertised as a Bluetooth connection.
Is there something more complex needed than just setting them into Bluetooth discovery mode?

Are the Phonak Sphere aids A2DP compliant? Sky Glass needs them to be, otherwise they won't work.

Re: Hearing aid connection
We've been unable to connect the phonaks to the Glass. I can get them to pair, but it always fails to connect.

Re: Hearing aid connection
I'm getting Sky Glass Gen 2 on the 25th June. I have 6 pairs of working Phonak Hearing Aids, and have them all paired to a Phonak TV Connector. However, with there being no Optical output, I shall firstly try Bluetooth. If this is unsuccessful, I shall buy an eARC HDMI sound splitter, so I can connect the TV Connector to via HDMI 2
I'll update.

Re: Hearing aid connection
Update on Phonak Hearing aids (from 2019) and my new Sky Glass Gen 2 55":
Firstly all my hearing aids pair easily. Here's the process:
1) Reboot the hearing aids to put them in pairing mode
2) Settings / Connected Devices / Bluetooth Devices / Add new device
3) Search .... 1 Hearing aid should appear
4) Pair it and Connect
5) Press the " ... " button
6) Go to Audio Output, and choose the option you want out of Speaker, Bluetooth or both.
The pairings stay there, but you have to connect each time. It doesn't take long (I've just noticed the Auto-connect option!
To be honest, I doubt I'll use this much though, as the main speakers are great.
I've not managed to get the TV Connector to work, but that could be the cheap eARC extractor.
Phonak use Classic Bluetooth for these connections.
Hope this helps

Re: Hearing aid connection
Update on this.
I've secured an ARC extractor that actually works, and have connected it to my Phonak TV Connector (V1). It now works and, initially, seemed a vast improvement on the Bluetooth connection, certainly regarding latency.
However!!!
- Sadly, once this connection is established, the TV speakers are switched off. Unlike a Bluetooth connection, there doesn't appear to have an option of both speakers and hearing aid streaming.
Oh well.
For the most time, I view TV alone, so I have many options, but when in company, it's clear the excellent Phonak TV Connector really isn't an option with Sky Glass.
Shame
