Having to switch sky Glass off at Main every day

Hi,

Anyone have a fix for this, each day the red light is on the front, the remote is working but thee Sky Glass doesnt switch on,

I then climb behind the tv, switch it off at the mains and then it does switch on.

This is every day, not a one off.

Any advice on a fix would be appreciated.

Cheers

Chris

@Cridler  Mine used to do the same thing but I resolved this by turning on the Networked Standby Mode in Setting > Start up & Standby menu.  This stops Glass losing the network connection when it goes into standby.

When we turned it on from standby it said there was no network but simply turning it off with the remote and back again usually got the TV to pick up the network again.

Hi,

The issue is about the TV not turning on from stand-by the network is ok, unless they are connected?

@Cridler No they are not connected.  I see your post has been escalated to the Community Messaging Team so hopefully they will have a solution for you.  You may not get a response from them today but make sure you refresh your browser from time to time so you don't miss the invitation..

Re: Having to switch sky Glass off at Main every day

I had this every morning where the TV would not turn on using the remote (Bluetooth) but would work fine using an old sky q remote.

I am not sure if it was caused by the overnight standby mode being enabled and it switching off the bluetooth.

Its been ok since I disabled overnight stand by but keep meaning to re enable it to see if it comes back again.

@Cridler Have a look at the link provided in post 3 above as it explains the procedure.  I note it says you MAY receive an email.  You will obviously not see the invitation bubble if you don't refresh the forum on your browser from time to time.  The bubble appears in the bottom left corner of your screen and you just click on it to get going.  Again, if you look at the picture in the link you will see what the bubble looks like (bottom left of picture).

@Cridler you should see a colourful chat bubble at the bottom of a page when you are on the forum. If you don't try refreshing the page in your browser. Thats the chat that the Sky Messaging Team will use to contact you, the chat automatically closes if no response to a sky message is provided after 48 hours.

Re: Having to switch sky Glass off at Main every day

Hi,

Yes please re help, it is not the end of the world but there is something wrong with the TV having to do this repeatedly.

It is also a very bizarre way to get help, to sit at your browser all day waiting for a button to appear. Am I the only one that sees that as odd. I missed it and call closed. Users should confirm a solution before any call is closed?

Cheers

Chris

@Cridler There is absolutely no need to sit watching your browser all day.  When Sky send the invitation they allow you 2 days (48 hours) to spot the invitation bubble and then reply and a further 48 hours each time they post a response.  This allows ytou to go about your daily activities.

I have used it on a couple of occasions and it worked really well.

ANyway, good luck with your issue 😀
