When I had the UHD package active (most of the Europe/America races) I never had a notable problem with the Live broadcasts, not even a pause or stutter (the only minor glitch was a the São Paulo race weekend where full screen captions - e.g. race results / championship standings were a pixelated mess) - for the avoidance of doubt, never had any issues watching live in HD.

For all its flaws (playlist/on demand mainly) I've been really impressed with how well the watching live has worked on Sky Glass - managed to get through a whole season without the dreaded "No Signal" or pixelated mess I used to endure on BBC/Channel 4/RTL via satellite whenever it rained heavily or the frequent quality drops on Now TV.

Oh I agree last season during live broadcast it was lovely apart from what they had the pixelation on the start grid which did get addressed in a update. 

Playlisting though was a joke specially for over run races.

No, I also have a playlist called "live fia formula 2 championship". Just shows me what's on this week and not showing practice 1

So I've got F1 practice 1 recording, not sure why this isn't possible with F3 or F2. 

Obviously I don't want to watch F1 yet until I've seen F2, F3 as Sky's onscreen presenters have a habit of mentioning things that have happened which completely spoils it.

Yeah my F1 Practice 1 is marked as recording will see if it's avaliable to watch around 1PM when it's finished. I don't watch F2 and F3 as much only really the Qualifying/Sprint and Race but i do have it in my playlist will see if it records those tomorrow.

For the F1 fans that haven't spotted it there is what should be a very interesting film coming to Sky Documentaries on 19th March called "Villeneuve Pironi" and is about the rivalry between team mates Gilles Villeneuve and Didier Pironi in the early 1980s.  The trailer is on YouTube.

The "Watch Live" is the giveaway - I never had any problem with it showing it on demand while being broadcast, it's after the session ends that matters.

As it stands at 13:05 Formula 1 FP1 is showing available 🙂 , while F2 FP1 which finished 3 hours ago isn't 😞

meant to add - is it just me or is the HD content noticeably poorer than it was last year.  TBH on my 43" TV i struggle to tell the difference between UHD and HD, but today it was noticably blocky!
