So to confirm , HDR and decent sound only available when we watch live? First time I've not watched live this season ( was about an hour behind as had a problem between head  and pillow this morning)

tuned in at 930 as the catch up didn't seem to be showing on my setup. Should ahve been the race replay but was instead perfectly time for sky to show a recap of everything in the race in 2 minutes then show the results.

Guess the race ran long but the tv guide still showed 'race replay'. They were only in the pit doing talking heads so could have moved that to another channel and put the replay on surely they knew a bunch of people would have missed it live?

so annoyed it looked like a good one.

Now finally the UHD race has appeared at 10am in the playlist so I'm hopefully watching that (watch it end prematurely lol..)

It appeared at 09.33, all 3 hours 13 mins which include the podium - that was during the post podium ad break.

Alas, Sky seem incapable of updating the TV Guide, one of the things I miss from Freeview (not just a glass thing, does the same on my parents Sky Q too).

For me, Saturday and Sunday have worked perfectly - HD only.

Yeah guessing the cloud recording stopped when the scheduled time for the program ended earlier. Least they put the full 3 hours and 13 minutes up quickly

so the earlier qualy/race appearing on showcase may have been a difference in broadcast times and they would have been replaced with F1UHD/maineventUHD if I'd have waited a little longer..

can't edit sorry. but from a tech perspective I should be able to start a live catchup or a VOD while the live is still finishing. For long sports events especially that seems a not-unusual situation to be in

Where are you finding this version? All I have is a 2h9m one that stops just after the 2nd restart, I've got no 'chequered flag' either so can't even watch where it would continue, what happened next or any analysis. 

I only watch F1 out of all the sports and it feels like an absolute P-take to receive such a flawed service for £27 a month. Sky really need to sort out how playlists and cloud recordings work for live TV 😒

Did you add to playlist from TV Guide F1 Channel 406

As in add to playlist from TV Guide before a live broadcasts had started

When you add to playlist from TV Guide in regards to live race broadcast you will have a tile in your playlist

Live:Formula 1

Don't confuse Live: Formula 1 with the other Formula 1 tile you may have in your playlist

Formula 1 that's for repeat broadcasts and on demand as in not live broadcasts 

It can day a few hours or next day for catch up broadcasts to show up in Formula 1 as these are not live race broadcasts

Yeah, I have both F1 and Live F1 added (mainly just to ensure it catches everything) but for some reason the pre race and post race stuff isn't showing for me just the race itself at 2h9m 

I'm almost done with the experiment that is Stream, feel like it's great if you love catch-up and VOD but not great at all for live TV and events. I'll have to use the 4 week F1 break to see if I can get a dish put up or Virgin TV put in as it seems there's nothing as reliable as a good old hard drive!

This is the final straw for me on Sky Stream. We had friends over this weekend with the intent of watching the race (and not live at 6am). We tried to kick it off and first it's impossible to navigate without finding spoilers. Then the shows listed don't actually start at race start, you get dumped into post-race analysis. Then we watch most of the race, and it cuts of before the end. Even by mid-afternoon this was not fixed.

Also a cool feature I found, half of the content in the Formula 1 section of the menus you can't actually click on. Those you can watch can't be paused.

I've been able to put aside the bugs, the broken controllers, and everything else this has thrown our way. But if we can't reliably watch major sports events, this platform is a non starter.

I can completely understand that point of view you want the system to work properly imagine the troubles are due to the over run as they have been perfectly fine recording apart from that.

Do you have Dolby Atmos and UHD pack or are you HD only

Has all live race recorded as I shown in image 

Latest episode is S023:E21 Live Chequered Flag that was recorded live at 8AM on Sunday Morning 

Once you add from TV Guide Channel  406  before a live broadcast has started it will then record all future live broadcast of F1

I dont recall this problem with Sky Q.  Glass was sold as a step up and its certainly still got a long way to go.
