Hi. We've just had a new Sky Glass delivered after our last one died. The sound is dreadful - like the TV's wrapped in a blanket or deeply under water. It's awful trying to listen to it! We've tried all the resetting stuff and plug out and back in, all to no end. What now to do? Sky Auto keeps telling us everything is fine but it most definitely isn't. Does anyone have an email address or tel number to get to actually speak to someone at Sky?

If you’re experiencing poor sound quality on your new Sky Glass TV, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue before reaching out to customer support.
1. Check Audio Settings:
Navigate to the audio settings on your Sky Glass. Ensure that the sound mode is set correctly. Sometimes, settings like “Surround Sound” or “Stereo” may not be optimal for your environment.
Look for any equalizer settings that might be affecting the audio output. Adjusting these settings can sometimes resolve muffled sound issues.
2. Inspect Connections:
Ensure that all cables connected to the TV are secure and undamaged. This includes HDMI cables and any other connections you might have.
If you’re using external speakers or a soundbar, check their connections as well.
3. Update Software:
Make sure your Sky Glass is running the latest software version. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements that can enhance performance, including audio quality.
To check for updates, go to Settings > System > Software Update.
4. Perform a Factory Reset:
If you’ve already tried resetting but haven’t performed a factory reset, this could help resolve persistent issues. Be aware that this will erase all settings and preferences.
To do this, go to Settings > System > Reset Options > Factory Reset.
5. Test with Different Content:
Try playing different types of content (e.g., live TV, streaming services) to see if the issue persists across all formats or is isolated to specific channels or apps.
6. Contact Customer Support:
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact Sky’s customer support for further assistance.
Alternatively, you can use their online chat feature for quicker assistance.
By following these steps systematically, you should be able to identify whether the problem lies within your setup or if it requires professional intervention from Sky’s support team.
