Does Sky glass slow down my internet connection?

Hi,

My internet connection is slow in my area (no fibre broadband) and my son already has problems with his Xbox lagging at times. we often use the Xbox, TV and Ipad at the same time.

I have a Sky dish. If I move to Sky glass, which uses the broadband will this slow things down further?

Should I stick with the dish and Sky Q?

Thanks

Definitely stick with Q and dish. Sky Glass will suck all your remaining bandwidth and basically make it impossible to do anything else with your connection.

If your son is already struggling with lag on their XBox then switching to a streaming-only TV service will only make that worse.

You'll need to wait until the broadband infrastructure is improved in your area I'm afraid, so that you can switch to a full fibre service.

Sky Glass and Sky Stream require a fast and stable broadband connection - without one they are effectively useless.
