Do I need to use Sky Glass air TV as my main TV if I switch to Sky Glass?

Hi. I want to take advantage of Sky Glass Air Black Friday deal, but I would prefer to keep my fairly new televison set in the living room as my main set and use 43" Sky Glass Air set in my bedroom. Is this possible, or would it have to be my main TV?

Currently have Sky Q and one main box and two additional mini boxes. I also do not have Sky broadband.

You can use the Glass Air anywhere you like in your home, as long as your broadband is fast and stable enough in the room you want to use it in.

Your existing Sky Q subscription would be cancelled though and you'd need to add a Sky Stream puck to your order along with the Whole Home subscription in order to watch the streaming TV package on your living room TV. Each TV would need a puck attached to it, similar to your Q miniboxes. The first is usually loaned free, and additional ones come with a £39.95 activation fee.

If you're considering dropping Q to take Glass/Stream, I would advise you to start with a Stream box first. Glass/Stream is a different beast to Q, some people like it, others hate it with a passion. It's not worth shelling out for Glass if you hate the system when, indeed, you could find a much cheaper TV for the bedroom in the Black Friday sales.

The Glass TV's have improved significantly with the Gen2 and Air release and streaming without doubt is the future but it isn't Q and quite marmite. Do your homework first watch some videos on YouTube.

Be aware no recording and some channels missing.
