Display is bad

My sky glass the display is not great when it's high colours or white on black it can be blockie or a halo round white writing on black it's like watching an old tube telly

@Hamsome1  Have you tried playing arounfd with the picture settings?

I'm afraid this is the nature of local dimming on LED backlit LCD TVs.

If you want to get rid of the halo effect on white writing on a black background then you can only really achieve it with an OLED TV. 

Blockiness (or posterisation) is usually a result of watching poorly encoded or low-bit rate content at high brightness.  All you can do is turn the brightness/contrast down so it's less noticeable or look for a better source of the content you want to watch such as a 4K BluRay disc of a movie, rather than a compressed stream.
