Yup, didn't have to do a thing. I haven't had to log back in to any Stream app on my puck since I initially set it up in October. All of them have retained the usernames and passwords I put in back then.
Maybe it's because I don't use them much. I mainly use Stream for the odd bit of live TV viewing and Sky-specific catch-up content. All the other apps we now use on an Apple TV 4K box as they're quicker and more reliable. The Apple watch-list also works!

Oops you've mentioned the incredibly efficient and 100% effective Apple TV "Up Next".
That's you also added to the latest list of users for firmware upgrades for pointing out what is glaringly a limitation in Glass/Stream with the CW/Playlist section that Sky just cannot get right 😂

I gave up on the Playlist/CW thing a long time ago... it was part of the reason we bought an Apple TV 4K box. The difference in general UI experience is night and day between the two and, in my opinion, absolutely worth the £100 difference in price!
I think Stream's days are probably numbered in our house - we watch less and less Sky specific content and the sheen of something shiny and new has long since worn off.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Anonymous Hypothetically, if I purchased one of these fruit related devices would it work OK on a Sky Glass TV without causing a conflict (I assume it would) and would my existing 6 months free trial allow me to use the device?

My Apple is connected via my LG but its just a hdmi so I see no issues.
And yes if you set up your Apple TV with same login details as the app on sky it will recognise your subscription.
Apple always have freebie subscription offers I've had it 18 months or more and never paid yet.
Apple TV has a wealth of apps. But!
IPLAYER is not UHD yet coming soon
MY5 is 720p
SKY GO is like 540p maybe 720p anyway rubbish
ITVX is totally different to stream very smooth
All other apps Netflix, Prime etc far better on Apple, quality and performance.

As @Anonymous says - there's no conflict. I use the Netflix app on my Apple TV 4K box with my Sky Stream Netflix subscription login - I get the full service in 4K with Dolby Vision & Atmos. Same with the free 6 months of Apple TV+ from Sky - as long as you use the same Apple ID then it works perfectly, as does the Discovery+ app.

I was logged out on all three of my devices (Glass TV and two Stream picks) and had to login again. Very annoying as I had to login to two of them (the TV and a Puck) again just last week to start watching "Lucky".
Previously had Sport & Entertainment directly with Discovery+ but I was already logged out before I even tried to switch plan.

If its a treat or gift it is worth investing the latest model is designed with the future in mind.
That said if Sky could just sort out these few niggles left then I'd use Apple less and less.

Hi Guys,
Whats happened to FREE Discovery+ On stream, it was in my Sky Marketplace yesterday, but i never had the time to set it up,

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Anonymous I have been doing a little google research and now I have a dilemma. ATV looks really good so do I want to wait for Sky Glass to improve or indeed my birthday?
Although not cheap I see it has the benefit of Mirroring / Airplay which I used to use a lot before moving to Glass.
Time will tell 😀

Pros
Cons
Personally as much a Sky irritates at times for UK TV it is the best for integration and user experience. As stated previously as soon as Playlist and CW are sorted and these niggle bugs are sorted it won't be beaten.
I use Stream daily, my Apple TV is excellent back up when stream starts playing up.

Maybe I'll keep an eye out for a second hand ATV.

It was there yesterday, but gone today for me,
