OK so setting up profiles is simple and adding and removing content is too.
What isn't clear, nor actually functioning is much bigger.
1. Need to link app profiles to Glass profile. So opening Netflix or continue watching Netflix takes you to the set profile not the last one used and the same with other apps.
2. Continue watching should he relevant to the Profile selected or continue watching needs to be under the profile.
The main profile is the default user and guests are using their own. . But currently if I start watching something under one profile then the continue watching rail shows how far the last person got into it.
Ie right now I watched 3 episodes of a show that's also on the default playlist even though I played it through the profile page. The person(s) who use the main profile now see that they've watched 3 when they have only got through 2 episodes.
Continue watching also currently will only show which Netflix user was currently selected etc also.
Who beta tests this stuff?
How did this get released with very poor implementation?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Aaln I probably won't use the profiles very much but have found them very simple to use. However, you are quite right about the confusion they can cause on the CW rail. Maybe it is something Sky can look at in the future.

Totally agree - if I'm on the Kev profile it should open the Kev profile in Netflix, Disney+ etc, and if no profile is there give you are option of choosing this once, always, or creating.
Now for Apple TV+, ITVX and Channel 4 to add Profiles.
Ideally it would (optionally) allow us to sync our playlists - add something on Netflix shows on Sky Glass, add a Discovery+ show on Sky Glass and it's on my list when I open Discovery+ while on my tablet.
Sky are very late to this playlist party which other apps have had for years, still nothing in Sky Go!

Find out more@Kevjs while what you want would be good don't hold your breath as to achieve that Sky/Comcast would have to convince eaxh app owner to adopt the same profile systems which is not likely to be easy. These apps are used on multiple systems worldwide and only get basic customisation for each platform. Doubt for example Netflix or Apple for example will re-write just to sort Stream.

The most basic level should be simple for everyone to implement as an additional deeplink parameter (i.e. profile_name=Kev) could be passed alongside the show/episode id when calling it, with profile selection being automated and quiet frankly should be a no brainer (AIUI the Apple TV platform may already do this).
Various platforms can and do see apps pass back additional data (e.g. next episode on Google TV) and no doubt Sky are gathering various analytics they can use to show the benefits of apps doing better integration, and they obviously already have some level of backend data sharing to be able to have the common search, reselling of subscriptions for Netflix, Paramount+, Discovery+, and Disney+, sharing of Ad Skipping details with ITVX, All4, and STV Player and such like.
Obviously, not holding my breath as Sky Go still doesn't even share channel numbers let alone anything more advanced like playlists, and recordings still don't have functionality like the late 1990s analogue era PDC to cope with overruns...

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Kevjs if it was as simple as you decribe it will happen however from my limited knowledge I think that there are levels of complexity you are over looking. Time will tell which of us is correct.
I know that the Continue Watching rail which simplistically looks trivially easy is proving anything but where apps are involved.
