Hey folks,
I'm looking for some advice re. sequencing of switching from Glass to Stream please.
I've currently got a Sky Glass as my primary device and a secondary Sky Stream puck under a Whole Home agreement.
I have ordered a second puck that I will be using to replace the Sky Glass.
I believe that I'll need to speak to Sky to switch my primary device from the Sky Glass to one of the Sky Stream pucks.
I'm looking for advice on when to do this please? Do I speak to them before I take down the Glass and set up the puck, or do can this be switched after I've set up the new puck and TV, I'm just trying to ensure a seamless switchover! 😁 Cheers!

It would only matter if you didn't have whole home as the puck wouldn't work (only the primary device would). You will be able to set up your new puck and it will work and then remove glass.

If you have whole home pack you can have up to 6 pucks and 3 glass TVs so you can have all the devices up and running without issue. See: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/your-devices-sky-glass#:~:text=On%20your%20account%2C%20you%20can,....
If you are selling the Glass make sure you factory reset it and get it removed as per the info in that article.

Hi @mikealanr thanks for this.
I'd read this online and it was this section that I was unsure about:
"Change your primary device
Want to watch your subscription on a different device? If you’ve got multiple devices, you can change your primary device online by signing into your account.
Good to know: If there's a Sky Glass TV on your account, this will automatically be the primary device. You won’t be able to select a Sky Stream puck to be the primary device instead."
As I'm replacing the Glass with a Puck it reads that I'll need to speak to Sky to get them to change the primary device on the system. I was wondering if that's before or after I make the switch? Any ideas?
Thank you 🙏

Find out more@Anders73 Sky does say that if you have Glass and a Puck the Glass TV will be the primary device but about a year ago I had a Glass TV with a stream puck and whole home. I decided to sell my Glass TV so I phoned Sky to cancel the Whole Home and make my Puck the primary (and only) device. The customer service adviser had to speak to a backroom team but came back saying that they had done as requested. Once my puck was the primary device I sold my Glass TV. I tried to get £350 but had to settle for only £250.
