Can I upgrade to Gen 2?
We currently have a Gen 1 from when Sky first launched Glass that we financed the unit over 2 years, due to finish in November. We are desperate to upgrade, can we upgrade to the Gen 2, can we upgrade before November?

Re: You've received your Sky Glass Gen 2, what are your thoughts?
Hi @H+Ironside
Yes you can take out a second contract which will run along side your existing one. You will be subject to another credit check etc, but it works in the same way as purchasing gen 1.

I took the first glass tv when it came out and I'm sure an upgrade path was aired at the time. I suppose it's gone now so I'll stick with my v1 in my bedroom. I have a 75 inch lg in my livingroom.

During the initial press reveal they did talk about an upgrade programme. Unfortunately this was dropped by the time it launched publically and was never part of the go-to-market offering.

I hadn't realised they'd dropped it. In any case I won't be buying the v2 as it has no vrr, almm and still at 60hz which is primitive by today's standards and for the cost I can get an LG or Samsung with all these additions. The ps5 pro i have wouldn't look any better on Glass v2. Maybe sky should consider a higher spec for the other release this year, though I doubt it.

Seems good. I currently have Gen 1 but would be nice if there was like a upgrade option. Where you can upgrade your Gen 1 for Gen 2. They discount your current plan. Something like o2 switch up. They can use the returned Gen1 to a discounted price for other people to purchase.

Some of us always suspected that the fairly obvious logistical challenge in offering such a scheme for really big and heavy television sets rather than small, light and postable smartphones was always going to be an issue.

EXCHANGE GLASS TV FOR GEN 2 GLASS
After receiving a recent email regarding improvements to sky glass I enquired why
nothing has happened on my tv. After discussing this I was informed of the new gen 2
glass tv. My question is, having paid in full for my present tv is there any arrangments
in place for a part exchange to the new glass tv. If not, i intend to keep the the one I
have. Any information wil be gratefully received. Thank You.

There is no exchange programme for Gen 1 to Gen 2, you either keep Gen 1 and or sell and and purchase Gen 2.

Re: Can I upgrade to Gen 2?
I own my Gen 1 Glass, if i was to purchase Gen 2 Glass, would it run on the same subsciptions or would we have to run two seperate subscriptions together.
As i would like Gen 2 in my livingroom & move Gen 1 to my conservatory???

Re: Can I upgrade to Gen 2?
You would need whole home but the subs would stay the same otherwise.
Sky Stream since launch with Philips 55" Mini LED. Sky Glass Gen 2 55" now added.

You would need Whole Home pack to use more than 1 Glass TV ( Gen 1 or Gen 2 or both) or Stream Pucks, apart from that you would get every channel you do now on Gen 1 Glass.

Re: Changing sky glass
There isnt an upgrade path. You can purchase a new TV on finance but this will sit along side your existing repayment.
You can have 3 TVs and 6 pucks on your account.
