Bring back Sky channel identifiers (DOGs)

I'd like to request [Removed] for Sky bring back the channel identifiers (Digital On-screen Graphics), the watermarks in the top left corner of the screen which display the channel logo/name.

the Sky channels currently display them for about 30 seconds at the beginning of a programme but it then fades away. (Except Sky sports which has them permanently and Sky Cinema which doesn't display them at all).

I remember all the sky channels used to have them - anyone know why they were taken away?

Re: Bring back Sky channel identifiers (DOGs)

I suspect they were taken away for a few reasons

  • To reduce the risk of burn-in on screens
  • To give a more premium feel to channels and put content first

I always found them distracting / annoying when watching channels with them on. Each to their own I suppose but I'm quite happy with the current setup

Re: Bring back Sky channel identifiers (DOGs)

Probably removed because they're completely pointless with a digital TV system and a functioning EPG.
