Al Jazeera news channel why not on my sky glass

I used to be able to watch the news channel Al Jazeera on my sky Q.  I cannot find it on my sky glass.  Any help?

@Alby  AlJazeera have chosen not to be on Glass, there are channel lists here for Glass/stream which are easily accessible prior to purchasing Glass.   https://www.sky.com/help/articles/tv-channel-list-sky-glass

I'm also very frustrated that Al Jazeera News isn't available on Sky Glass. I keep seeing this standard message that 'AlJazeera have chosen not to be on Glass' which I am in the process of verifying this with them directly.

I find it is very strange that Al Jazeera News isn't available on Sky Glass as they have IPTV feeds, an App and broadcast on YouTube, especially as Sky broadcast micky mouse **bleep** channels like GBTV and the rest of that nonsense. You would think they would at least allow the Al Jazeera News app to be installed. 

It all smells very very ripe to me.

you would need to contact Al Jazeera directly and ask them why they have chosen not to be on glass/stream

the decision is solely at their discretion not sky's

As mentioned in my post, I'm in the process of contacting them to confirm this standard message that keeps cropping up, but thanks for your imput.

The more people who keep insisting it is true with not a Sky employee badges make me feel it reaks of **bleep**e, nothing personal old chap.

That's even less likely than an EPG listing because there's a higher technical and commercial requirement for app hosting on any Sky hardware, given that Sky has to provide telephone customer support for all hosted apps.

However, as you will know there are many channels missing from Glass so when you receive a reply from Al Jazeera please post it on this thread as the reasons could make interesting reading 👍

I am also very frustrated at the lack of Al Jazeera on my Sky Glass. The range of news options is very limited to what I got with Sky+. I had assumed it would be the same.

Unfortunately that was an incorrect assumption.  Sky will permit cancellation or taking up a Q subscription within the cooling off period, but not a reversion to Sky+

I don't miss it. Massively biased state run news outlet. I don't favour censorship but glad when RT and CCTV taken off air. Don't know if it's a political decision but Qatar hosts terrorists and is allied to Iran so any balance not present on its news channel.

Hello

A workaround is to view Al Jazeera via youtube on sky glass.

Its broadcast in HD & you just talk into your sky remote 

( Hello Sky play Al Jazeera live on youtube )

I have been using this for various news sources/ channels broadcast live on youtube 

such as rtve from Spain.

Although not perfect it works.
