Adding a Sonos Ray and Submini to the Sky Glass Gen 2 tv

Hello, we have just recived out tv today and see that there is no digital optical audio output on the tv. Online there are a few suggestions on some kind of HDMI convertor to be able to use our speakers. Has any one tried this or found a compatible convertor for the tv?

Glass has eARC on HDMI 2 so an (e)ARC to optical audio converter is appropriate.

It seems a little odd to pay the significant premium for the inclusion of multiple speakers within the Glass enclosure only to connect external audio output though.

Awe I see thank you for that. Not tech savvy at all. We had the Sonos for our last tv so hoped to be able to add to make more of a surrounded sound for watching music and movies 😊not sure if it will work 😅

Any external sound output replaces the built-in speakers rather than supplementing them.

If it were possible to physically attach externals then the result would be a horribly mangled audio mix anyway because the television set isn't designed for them and has no way of routing to an appropriate driver.
