HELP!

Hi, firstly apologies if I'm in the wrong place!

My mums partner(in their 80's) has a Sky package solely in his name.

its the full package tv, broadband, phone etc.

he is paying over £150 a month for a service which he no longer uses!

He has recently been diagnosed with dementia and P.O.A. Had been evoked.( I'm in the process of informing Sky about this!)

what I'd like to know- what is the basic package required for tv. Phone etc. He no longer is able to use all the services, so we are wanting to get it reduced to very basics for mum.

is there such a thing or do we need to look elsewhere for a basic service?

hope this makes sense!

   Thankyou

Re: HELP!

Should have added they have the new fast fibre1- ( which they were talked in to) but mum wouldn't really need broadband now ( unless it's still needed for the phone line!)

Sorry but we just don't understand all this!

The cheapest viewing package is Sky Essentials, which would give your parents all the Freesat channels, but no subscription channels, nor sport and movies, and allows you to record. However,  Sky+ being a legacy/obsolete system, I doubt that Sky would allow them to switch to that package.  (in any event, it would be cheaper for them to buy a freesat recorder which they can use without subscription, providing they can use it noting your mum's partner's dementia.).

Failing that, the Signature package is the base TV package providing the freesat channels plus the non-premium Sky subscription channels (not sport or movies)

They would have to subscribe to broadband, in order to have a telephone as it's delivered via their broadband router.
