Enlarging subtitles

Why can't subtitle size be changed by and for the end user. For people with severe disabilities often their TV is their only connection to the outside world. Sub titles are often necessary for the hearing and seeing impaired. Why can't Sky offer more in the way of individual accessibility? It would mean the world to so many of us!

Judging by this thread a lot a Accessibility customers disagree about being able to make them larger

Re: Enlarging subtitles

for a visually impaired and severely sighted impaired person such as myself, it can be difficult to read those pesky subtitles, in my case, they are either too small, can't see the white print on white or light coloured colours on whatever scene the TV programme or film are showing at the time or I don't have time to lean forward to read the subtitles before they disappear.  I have tried audio description but my problem with that is tht it describes what is happeneing as well as what the subtitles are and therefore it spoils my viewing.

I do wish they can just have the audio descrption just for the subtitles.
