Easy grip remote

I am trying to synch the easy grip remote control  which we have just been sent to my dad's new LG tv so that he can adjust the volume with it. I have been through all 7 options offered under settings but none worked and it told me the particular model  of tv was not currently supported. However, I did the same process with the old original sky remote that also had not previously been able to work the volume and that did work.  Any suggestions?

• Thank you very much for your reply , I am possibly being very dim but I can't see a button marked tv on either of the sky remote that I have.

Might be a different easy grip remote to the one a saw 😞
