Re: Sky TV Guide Website https://www.sky.com/tv-guide/

Can't help but think this is a massive mistake by Sky to remove a vital tool for viewers to find out what's on and trying to push customers over to "Sky Go", which mind you, last I checked, would not load on my PC for love nor reinstall. It wouldn't be so bad if they had at least integrated a TV guide into the existing "Watch" page and added other shows from other channels besides their own. Not to mention that a rival cable service at least offers a fully functioning TV guide that seemingly doesn't crash every time you scrolled fast.

Not a great move, especially when it feels super hostile to those who still watch linear TV.

Hi Everyone

Thank you for your feedback around the TV Guide on our website, and thank you @Annie+UK  for tagging us.

We want to confirm that the TV guide feature has been discontinued. We understand this may be an inconvenience, you can find alternative ways to browse and discover content via your Sky Box, Sky Stream, Sky Glass, Sky Go and other parts of the website.

Thanks

Thanks for this post, but can we please have a post that explains the decision behind the removal of the online EPG? I don't think it's too much to ask, especially as the way it was done was very disrespectful to users of the EPG.

@Mr+Ripley that's something Sky will never make public as it could be commercially sensitive information

Re: Sky TV Guide Website https://www.sky.com/tv-guide/

Thanks, now I know. Is it Sky's intention to **bleep** everbody off? Suppose nothing matters more than new sales, not even service to their customers. Had a shortcut on my laptop for years. Will find a non Sky alternative.

@bob160  If you manage to find a decent alternative, can you post about it on here, please? There was a link to a TV guide posted on this thread which I had a look at, but I didn't like it.

Just to add to all that that has been said before....

Poor show Sky!

However thank you to the Radio Times https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/tv-listings/

At least Sky customers can still view all sky channels one week ahead!

It would be nice to see sky changing something to the viewers benifit for a change.

Re: Sky TV Guide Website https://www.sky.com/tv-guide/

I have never heard of this guide.

The downside as I see it, is that the channel numbers do not correspond with sky channels, and sort of stop short of the total we have available.

Re: Sky TV Guide Website https://www.sky.com/tv-guide/

@Rustyfrog  Thanks for the link, never used the RT site before, but I've registered & I will give it a go. I can see it is going to take a bit longer than using the ( defunct ) Sky EPG, but I'll get used to it. I see it can show what's on for up to 9 days ahead ( it also goes back about a week, not sure why ), rather than Sky's 7 days. Another handy feature is that it lets you know if a programme is a repeat. Looks like this is the winner.

Re: Sky TV Guide Website https://www.sky.com/tv-guide/

I found a bonus feature on the RadioTimes site. On the Home Page near the top, put your cursor over where it says Film ( in between Sport & Gaming ) & a drop-down box shows you Vue Pass for RadioTimes.com

This gives you the opportunity to get discounted prices at Vue cinemas, whether you book online or purchase at the venue itself.

I followed all the instructions & made a payment & received 2 QR codes as a discount on whatever film I want to see next at Vue. You can purchase the codes before you even know when you're going next, as they are valid for 12 months. There are plenty of venues where they are accepted, including Dublin & Limerick.

@csatkins

Sky won't provide their reasons on a public forum for the reason already provided in post 35 above.
