Setting up two step verification, but I am not receiving the SMS code

Hi all,

 

I have been trying to set up two-step verification on my Sky ID account. It attempts to send the SMS code to my mobile number but it never arrives on my device, no matter how many retries I have attempted over multiple days. As part of my own troubleshooting, I have verified that the phone number recorded under my Sky ID is correct, as well as the number the two-step verification prompt is using to send the code to. I have also chosen the "change number" option and inputted my phone number there manually.

 

To rule out my device and SIM, I have inserted my SIM in to a new handset which has been factory reset, to rule out any spam blockers in the phone's SMS app.

 

I have also initated 2FA prompts from other services I use, and they have all been sent to me via SMS successfully.

 

I have an Irish phone number and I am based in the Republic of Ireland. Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid we are all customers here so it might be worth talking to your phone's network provider about this.
