My Sky App Talk Shield Settings

Since the last update of the mysky app (version 9.59.0) i cannot access sky talk settings anymore from within the app.

When i press it,it takes me to a log in page and when i log in it just goes to an infinite white loop loading page.

I found the only way to be able to get it to work is to uninstall the app and then reinstall it and then the first time it will work but if you close the app,after that it just does the same thing again i.e goes to the log in page and the infinite looping loading screen again.

I just looked on the playstore and it was reported there aswell so looks like some bug since this last update

Just revisiting this to ask if anyone else is in the same position as it still happens to me

When trying to access sky talk shield settings from within the mysky app it just goes to a page saying please wait with infinite spinning wheel,is it the same for everyone else or is it just me?

Its been broken since last year.I have reported it last year to sky as suggested in this thread and still nothing has been done about it.

The only difference now is that where previously there was an endless spinning wheel and please wait on the screen,now after a while it resolves to the following screen.......

How can we get this fixed?

The app is obviously trying to resolve to somewhere that does not exist since sky changed it last year so should surely be easy to change and fix so that it resolves correctly but as it stands,the only way to access sky talk shield settings since last year is to go to the sky website and log in there.but it should be working in the app

Almost a year later and posting this in a desperate attempt to find away to see if anyone (moderators on here/super users etc) has anyway to get someone at sky to fix this?

After all the updates it still has not been fixed.Ive reported it here along with others,reported it on the playstore in the reviews,got in touch via the email address listed on the app in the playstore that was suggested above and completely been ignored.

Why on earth do i have to go and log into my account via a web browser  when i should be able to use the settings via the app?

The experience of trying  to log in on a phone via a browser is awful and having to go to a pc just do do something that should be (and always was) available in the app is ridiculous.

Is there any way to get this fixed?

Its been reported here (not just by me),its been reported on the playstore by numerous people,its been reported over the phone to sky,its been reported via email to the app developers via the feedback and still its broken after over a year and nothing has been done about it!!

What to do to get someone to listen and get it fixed? Surely the fix is easy.They are redirecting to an url that does not exist anymore,they can see this from the screenshot provided.It needs changing so that the talk shield button resolves to the correct place when pressed.

Been in touch via the feedback email in the app and sky got back in touch telling me to contact sky customer services if there is an issue still persisting.If only i had thought of that over a year ago....

Just posting on this thread to say, I have now got this issue and looking to understand how we get it fixed. We've recently fixed the issue on .com and I'm now performing diagnostics to understand where it is broken here to get a solution. I'll post when I have an update. Thanks for the patience.

@mc321 could you lay out the steps that you took to get to that error. I want to recreate in our debugger for further analysis and would just be good to know from the opening page of the app how you navigated to that so I can replicate. Thanks

@StaceD  Here are the steps:

1.open the mysky app

2.scroll down to product settings

3.Click talk shield

4.Spinner appears on the page saying please wait and then after a short while the message appears as per the screenshot above

Mysky app is version 10.18.0 from the playstore which is the latest version (but this has been happening since last year with every previous version even though there has been many app updates since it broke)

So there was an update to the app today to version 10.19.0 and whilst installing i was waiting with baited breath in the hope it was fixed annnnnnd guess what?.....nope,still the same 🤣

But according to the description in the whats new section of the app in the playstore it says "Thank you for your feedback,we are always listening and do take feedback seriously"...................Yeah ok of course you do 😆
