If you don't have the viewing card option in the list, this is the way to do it that works. You can also just straight to this link after signing in with the secondary id: https://skyid.sky.com/serviceSignup/skycomlinked

Nope, i used only viewing card number, there is seemingly no obvious way to create a secondarry user, as when you select that box it drops you into the help screen and then cretaes an authorised user....ried several times

I have the same problem and seem unable to change from authorised user to secondary user despite having set up second user as secondary in the first place. Seems a common problem from this thread.

On selecting the Manage Users button in the confirmation email. I get this message:

So to save anyone else from banging their head against a brick wall with this...
1) Once you have created the the new (secondary) SkyID, login to https://www.sky.com/
2) Browse to the link below:
https://www.sky.com/pages/sky-id-setup
3) Choose the "Watch Content Only" option.
4) Now you can enter in the postcode details, and the viewing card number (it only appears as an option via the link in step 2 for some reason).
5) Click on the "Continue / Confirm" button.
6) And you're done! 🙂
Why Sky couldn't tell us this themselves is beyond me, but I hope this will help someone else from having the same nightmare I had in getting this working.

@RainhamWolf thanks. I am trying to get this to work - not working so far
I signed in with the secondary-id (the secondary id has previously accessed sky at this point)
As suggested I browse to the link:https://www.sky.com/pages/sky-id-setup and Choose the "Watch Content Only" option.
I get this
Followed by ...
Which has access to my account details

I just tried this and it works. Summary of steps:
Log on with the primary sky id and remove the authorised account that you would prefer to be a secondary account.
Sign in with the secondary account (I did this via incognitio window so that it wouldnt keep signing me in) Browse to the link:https://www.sky.com/pages/sky-id-setup and Choose the "Watch Content Only".
I saw the same screen as you posted however as the would be secondary account was removed first it re-registered and now displays as just a secondary account.
Slightly off topic it appears that if you follow the help guide and input your name for the secondary account the viewing card option is avaiable.

@aForumuser Thanks very much. That seems to have worked though I notice the secondary user is still listed as an authorised user (solid circle) in My Details - Additional Users.
When I log in as the secondary user, I seem to be prompted for the account number and other additional information if I attempt to access the bill or add to the package. So this is an improvement though really they should not be able to access this information at all.
Thanks

This worked for me, brilliant!

I can't seem to make a secondary id without a Sky card. We're just sky mobile customers. Not way I'm giving the kids access to the main account just to see their data usage. Seems crazy.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt has been a long time since I have done this so is there no option to do this by supplying your Sky account number instead of a viewing card number?

Unfornately, I just get an error when I just input my phone number. It seems to only want the Sky card. Not very impressive.
I also can't find an alternative for them, like text this number or freecall a number, so I'm stuck with either them pestering me or me handing over the account log in details.

Posted by a Sky employee@J+L+G Hi there. Just seen this and if not one else has yet, I will ask the SkyID team if a secondary ID is possible for Mobile Only customers to do as you described
