Discussion topic: I am frustrated by the tv guide, as online and on screen do not match

Online the tv guide shows 101 as SD and on screen shows it as HD and has done of a long time anyone know why this is and who edits and checks the prog descriptions as there are lots of incorrect ones same things happens with progs requiring a pin to view some times showing that clearly do not require one. have no restrictions set up on my box

BBC SD channels are closing permanently today. It might take a few hours or more for the changes to be fully visible on the epg.

My on screen epg is correct in showing BBC HD and has done so for a long time but the sky tv guide online as always shown BBC SD on 101 etc, also any idea why the prog descriptions are so bad

Programme descriptions are what the broadcaster passes on to Sky. Sky produce their programme description for their own channels.

Where is the online tv guide you are looking at?

Is it sky go?

Mine is the same as @floppydog in that 101 and 102 are both SD (HD are at 801 and 802) so hopefully will be fixed over the coming days.
